Today, on October 3, 2023, a prestigious exhibition took place at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai. Entrepreneurs and Consulate Generals from 20 to 23 countries participated in this event, and a total of 100 stalls were set up, featuring government and semi-government departments as well as private entrepreneurs.
One of the stalls at the exhibition was dedicated to marketing, promoting, and selling of Kolhapur chappals. Hon. Managing Director Mr. Dhammajyoti Gajbhiye sir visited this stall, where he was also welcomed by Mr. Santosh Pandey, the Regional Director of the Council for Leather Export, and Mr. Ganesh Doifode, an entrepreneur from Dharavi.
Following this, the Hon. Managing Director proceeded to visit various stalls from different countries at the exhibition, actively seeking opportunities for maximum marketing, promotion, and export of Kolhapuri chappals. In the evening, a fashion show was organized which featured a ramp walk showcasing Kolhapuri chappals with a peacock theme, which greatly boosted the popularity of Kolhapuri chappals.
